Łazarski University - IzolPlus™ thermal modernization
Comprehensive improvement of the energy efficiency of the Łazarski University building in Warsaw using IzolPlus™ thermoreflective paints on facades, roofs and internal surfaces.

Project objective
Łazarski University in Warsaw - one of Poland's leading private universities, with a modern campus at Świeradowska Street - faced the challenge of improving the energy efficiency of its teaching building. The objective was to reduce winter heating costs and summer cooling costs, without the need for invasive renovation works that could disrupt the academic class schedule.
Scope of works
The works commissioned to BOTI-CEL Sp. z o.o., based in Warsaw at Kępna 9/4, covered a comprehensive thermal modernization of the university building using IzolPlus™ thermoreflective paint system by Adalio.
The scope included:
- External facades - painting facade walls with thermoreflective paints to reduce the building's heating by solar radiation
- Roof surfaces - covering the roof with an IzolPlus™ coating that reflects IR radiation and reduces the roof surface temperature by up to 15°C compared with an uncoated surface
- Internal surfaces - application of thermal insulation paints on selected internal walls to improve insulation parameters and limit heat losses
Implementation
The works were carried out in stages to minimize the impact on the university's day-to-day operations. Application of IzolPlus™ paints does not require specialist equipment - the coating is applied by spray or roller, which significantly shortens completion time compared with traditional thermal insulation methods (for example, expanded polystyrene insulation).
All works were completed in accordance with all legal and technical standards applicable in construction, with due diligence and according to professional knowledge - as confirmed by the official statement from Łazarski University.
Results
After the modernization was completed, the university recorded:
- Lower internal temperature in summer months - lower load on air-conditioning systems
- Improved thermal comfort in lecture rooms and administrative offices
- Reduced heat losses in winter thanks to the low emissivity of IzolPlus™ coatings (emissivity coefficient: 0.03)
Quality confirmation
Łazarski University officially confirmed the quality of the completed works by issuing a statement that BOTI-CEL Sp. z o.o. "performed works consisting in improving the building's energy efficiency by painting facades, roofs and internal surfaces with IzolPlus thermoreflective paints" and that "the works were completed in accordance with all legal and technical standards applicable in construction".
